Amazon

Note that it takes a lot of time, effort and research to make this amount.

Amazon is a online merchant who sells just about anything and everything. Gift Cards, Books, Movies, Clothing, Housewares, Lawn Equipment, Car parts, Electronics, MP3 downloads, Movie Downloads and more.

So how does this work? It is simple, Amazon provides you with all the materials you will need to promote Amazon products. Banners, widgets, search boxes, video units, the works. When someone clicks on one of these Widgets, banners or links they are taken to Amazon's site. If a purchase is made, you will receive a cut of the sale.

You do not earn by clicks, only sales. So you must know what is popular and what is high demand.

For example, let say you have a Harry Potter blog. Where you are providing updates, movie trailers, pictures and open discussions on the topic of Harry Potter. On this blog, you would be able to promote and sell anything from Amazon that deals with Harry Potter. Let me give you some examples.

When will I be paid?
Payments are made 60 days from the end date of ever month.

Payment for January is made in late March.

Payment for February is made in late April.

Payment for March is made in late May.

Payment for April is made in late June.

Payment for May is made in late July.

Payment for June is made in late August.

Payment for July is made in late September.

Payment for August is made in late October.

Payment for September is made in late November.

Payment for October is made in late December.

Payment for November is made in late January of the following year (approximately 60 days after Nov. 30).

Payment for December is made in late February of the following year (approximately 60 days after Dec. 31).

What payment methods do they use to pay you?

Again it may vary from country to country. Users within the US can choose to be paid by, Check, Direct Deposit, or Amazon Gift Card. I would highly recommend Direct Deposit. If you don't have a checking account. You can sign up for prepaid debit/checking account here at Account Now

I tried to sign up for Amazon and found that because I live in North Carolina, I could not have an account. Can you explain why??

Wow, that is new one. Did you try the USA link?

https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/

I have to recheck the terms, but I don't see why North Carolina would be excluded. I even think they let US citizens sign up for the UK Amazon as well.

I stand corrected. There seems to be a tax war going on between Amazon and North Carolina!

Good grief. What is next?

From TaxGirl.com:

We regret to inform you that the North Carolina state legislature (the General Assembly) appears ready to enact an unconstitutional tax collection scheme that would leave Amazon.com little choice but to end its relationships with North Carolina-based Associates. You are receiving this e-mail because our records indicate that you are an Amazon Associate and resident of North Carolina.

Please note that this is not an immediate termination notice and you are still a valued participant in the Associates Program. All referral fees earned on qualified traffic will continue to be paid as planned.

But because the new law is drafted to go into effect once enacted – which could happen in the next two weeks – we will have to terminate the participation of all North Carolina residents in the Amazon Associates program on or before that same day. After the termination day, we will no longer pay any referral fees for customers referred to Amazon.com or Endless.com nor will we accept new applications for the Associates program from North Carolina residents.

The unfortunate consequences of this legislation on North Carolina residents like you were explained in detail to key senators and representatives in Raleigh, including the leadership of the Senate, House, and both chambers’ finance committees. Other states, including Maryland, Minnesota, and Tennessee, considered nearly identical schemes, but rejected these proposals largely because of the adverse impact on their states’ residents.

The North Carolina General Assembly’s website is http://www.ncleg.net/ , and additional information may be obtained from the Performance Marketing Alliance at http://www.performancemarketingalliance.com/ .

We thank you for being part of the Amazon Associates program, and we will apprise you of the General Assembly’s action on this matter.

Hi! This sounds very nice.
But I would like to ask your advice on something If you don´t mind:
I recently "opened" a zlio store.
Can you name the main differences between zlio and amazon? It´s hard to maintain both, so I have to decide before improving my store.
I know that zlio pays 3% and I read now in your post that amazon pays 4%. Ok... But is this the only difference? Well, you understand my question... :)

Calliban,

About amazon... The difference is clear. Amazon is a power house, while Zlio is much smaller. Amazon has better widgets and web tools. They pay to your bank account. There is a lot of differences. I would suggest Amazon over Zlio. Zlio can't compete when you put them together.

I can go through all the details but if you already have amazon account then you should already see the differences. The rate is not always 4%. Depends on what you are selling. For instance Computers. Maximum $20 on each sell. Read the terms and FAQ section for more info.

Also, I removed the rest of your post and referral link. If you want to talk about mylot do it on that page, please. We need to keep spam down to a minimum. If I have people posting their referral link on ever page that has nothing to do with what is being discussed the the comment area is cluttered.
